Our apparatus comprises of a multicolored metal disc which is 200mm in diameter.
This rotating disc has segments in different colors which are Newton's primary colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
The disc is mounted on the axle of a motor, which is fitted on an ABS base-plate.
It operates on 6-8 volts DC with Newton's colour disc.
Students can observe and understand the phenomenon of temporal optical mixing, that is when the metal disc spins very fast, the various colors fade out and the disc appears to be white to off-white to gray in color.
