It comprises of a ventilated lamp house having an open front with extended sides finned externally for heat dissipation and vertical internal grooves to accommodate a slit plate and a cylindrical lens.
It has a light source comprising of a 12 volts, 21 watts lamp in a holder with one meter of twin flex, having banana plugs.
It comes complete with a metal plate having single and triple slits and which is whitened on one side with the other side black matt.
It operates on 12 Volts power supply.
Thus, the ray box creates beams of light when combined with combs or slits, allowing pupils to study properties of light.
