The optical filters selectively transmit light of different wavelengths.
Our set consists of a total of 7 filters, mounted in plastic frames which are 50 x 50mm in size.
The filters available are in 3 primary colours and 3 secondary colours and one filter is a tricolored slide.
The primary colour filters are red, blue and green filters.
The secondary colour filters are magenta, cyan and yellow filters.
These filters are used in a wide array of optics related experiments.
With these filters, students can comprehend the process of colour subtraction and how it forms a useful means of predicting the ultimate colour appearance of an object if the colour of the incident light and the pigments are known.
It allows students to observe insects and other small creatures etc. in detail.
