For demonstrating the unimpeded superimposition of motions.
It consists of a launching rail with a returning spring.
Two steel balls (19mm in diameter) are used as test bodies.
The launcher has an L-Section, with holes for locating the two steel balls which act as projectiles.
The launcher is released by a push button and upon triggering, one ball starts to fall downwards and simultaneously the other is launched horizontally.
Both balls hit the ground at the same time.
The launching mechanism is mounted on a wooden block (Dimensions = 180x60x30mm3), which may be clamped by bench and has a convenient storage pocket for the balls.
The apparatus comes complete with two steel balls.
