A two stroke petrol engine uses petrol as the fuel; and the four "cycles" of internal combustion engine theory (intake, compression, ignition, exhaust) are completed in one revolution of the crankshaft. This means that in this type more than one function occurs at any given time during the engine's operation.
This model represents the internal structure and operating principles of an air-cooled two-stroke petrol engine.
All parts are made from an aluminium alloy.
Ignition is shown by means of a miniature bulb.
Carburettor and fuel supply are sectioned.
It is mounted on a metal base with a labeled placard that also has printed diagrams explaining the working of the engine.
