This model of the spleen shows the visceral surface of the spleen, divided by a ridge into an anterior gastric and a posterior renal region.
Near to its mid-border is a long fissure, termed the hilum. This is pierced by several irregular openings, for the entrance and exit of vessels and nerves.
The splenic artery and vein can be seen in this model.
The model is mounted on a base and numbered with an English key card.
